The following is a summary of the meeting minutes for the Over 60 softball meeting held on 3/8/2012:
1 - The drafting of pool players was held with each team selecting players to fill out their roster. Please review the attached file and check your team’s roster for accuracy. Forward back to me any corrections.
2 - Arthur Dorn - head umpire attended the meeting. A new rate of payment to the umpire was set at $39/game (old rate was $ 36). Requests were made to Arthur to get the umpires to the games by 6:00pm at the latest to insure there is enough time to get the games completed by 7:30pm.
3 - Arthur Dorn signed off on the Umpire release form showing they have alternate insurance against injury and are not covered under the leagues insurance policy.
4 - It was decided that the manager of each team would monitor the time and would advise the ump to announce when there was 10 minutes left to play before the 7:30pm deadline took effect. (No new inning can start after 7:30pm).
5 - All rosters are to be finalized by 3/22 (at the next meeting at the
6 - All players are to submit their fee ($50 per man) to play to their manager who should then forward all fees to our treasurer Steve by 5/1/2012.
7 - Currently awaiting confirmation back from Eric and Lisa regarding permit fees to secure softball fields
