Game Summaries:
Roselle American Legion 7, Renda Roads 2
Al Genova led the way for The Legion with a perfect night with 3 hits including a home run and 4 RBI’s.  Bob Colanari, Jim McCullough, and Ed Mitjans each contributed to the attack. Winning pitcher Harry Streep was supported by several fine defensive plays by Bill Dugan and Jeff Baier. For the Road Gang, Keith Gibbons was perfect while Marty Marks and Dave Lavelle both went 2 for 3.
Linda’s Driftwood Bar #2 10, D & K Associates 2
Pat LoPiccolo provided the pitching while Keith McDede and Willie Shumate, both with home runs, sparked the offense.
Molly Maguire’s 11, Sun Tavern 10
Jumping out to an early 5-0 lead, the Molly’s found themselves in a fight for the victory, with an undermanned Sun Tavern squad that scored 5 times in the 6th frame to take a late lead, aided by a triple play. Down 10-9 going into the bottom of the 7th, Glenn Zuhl led off with a hit, and scored the tying run on Nick Pace's triple. Pat Ahern, who earlier had hit into the triple play, lashed a solid single to left to score the winning run. Bob Ghiretti chipped in with 3 hits and some nifty defensive plays at third base while Vic Trindade added a double and triple for the victors.  Paul Newton smashed a bases loaded double for Sun Tavern.
Renda Roads 12, Top Line Appliance 6
For the Road Men, Pat Nigro was a perfect 3 for 3 on the night with a pair of doubles. Marty Marks, Joe Massimino, Jimmy Jimenez, Tom Straniero and Ed Belford also contributed to the offense.
Roselle American Legion 14, LLG/Frenchy’s 13
Roselle American Legion rallied from a nine run deficit, scoring twice in the 5th and 6th innings and plating 6 runs in the final frame.  The winning rally commenced with hits from Ed Lubas, John Amato, and Bill Daniel.  This was followed by run producing hits from Jeff Baier, Ed Mitjans, and Jim McCullough.  The game winning RBI was recorded by Bill Dugan with a monstrous drive to left center. For LLG, Willie Jackson smacked a home run.
