A - DIVISION

RENDA ROADS 10, BREW CREW 4

For the victors, Joe Massimino went 3 for 3 and was supported by 2 hits each from Dave Lavelle, Frank Pepe, Pat Nigro and Keith Gibbons. For the Brew Crew, who scored all their runs in the first 2 innings, George Brokaw went 3 for 4; Geno Antonucci was 2 for 3 with some dazzling defensive plays, while Gary Capaldo, John Fessock, and Neil Iaccarino with a triple, all went 2 for 3. Bob Lieberman pitched a fantastic game in the loss.

B - DIVISION

Contact Lens scored 7 runs in the first 2 innings, and held off the late innings Barmen charge, for the victory. For the Lensmen, Kerry Gelb and Carmen Mosier had multi-hit games. For Linda’s, Joe Sarica, John Esposito, Ron Martins and Tom Siano also had multi-hit games.

Kerry Gelb set the tone for the game with a towering 2 run home run over the left center field fence in the first inning. The Lensmen then rode the pitching, defense, and the bat of Dan Mulligan who, along with Dave Rothenberg, knocked in 6 runs each with the team smashing 31 base hits.
