UCSSL MEETING MINUTES FOR MARCH 6, 2013

 

The following is a summary of our league meeting of March 6, 2013:

 

27 were in attendance. All teams were represented, with the exception of Creative Industries Too and Kilkenny House.

 

Additional registration materials and sponsor fees were submitted to the league treasurer; managers were again reminded that the remainder of these materials, as well as initial team rosters (update last year's roster and re-submit for 2013,) are due before the season begins.

 

Shirt order forms are due to Gary Wiese immediately to ensure that shirts will be available by Opening Night in less than 6 weeks.

 

Player inquiries (via newspapers, posters, etc.) have been directed to those teams that have expressed a need for additional players.  Several additional "unsigned" prospective players are still available. Let the commissioner know if you are interested in adding any of these prospects.

 

Almost no rule changes have been proposed since our last meeting -- none with any immediate urgency -- so we will delay discussion until the April meeting, when better weather is expected.

 

Managers divided into two groups for the selection of fields on the 50+ and 60+ Division schedules.

 

The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, April 3, at 7:30 pm.  This meeting will include rule changes, as well as the distribution of rulebooks, scorebooks, softballs and checks for umpire fees.
