Leading Awnings' 20 hit attack were Gary Cuttler, Bob Lorincz, Neil Granstrand (4 RBIs) and Mike Kovach with 3 hits each.  John Rachko, Steve Androsko, Tom Breen and Dave Kirsch added 2 hits apiece.  For VFW, Dave Drechsel and Pat Ahern (3 RBIs) were both 3 for 4, while Jim Capizzi and Mark McGlynn were both 2 for 3.
Deegan Roofing 14, Roselle American Legion 3
Winning pitcher Gary Pence shut out The Legion in the final 6 innings of this bumper game for the victory.  Pence, Steve Toth and John Garced all contributed three hits for the Roofer's offense. For Roselle, Gene Antonucci and Jim McCullough continued their solid hitting with Harry Streep and Ed Kushner contributed some outstanding defensive plays.

Liberty Lighting Group 4, Contact Lens & Vision 2
In a pitchers' duel, Liberty Lighting held on to record the victory.  The Lensmen were led by Jerry Archibald and Solo Meola with 2 hits each.
Rosie’s Wine Bar 14, Linda’s Driftwood Bar #2 9
After falling behind by 11 runs, a shorthanded Linda’s team came back to make the game interesting. 
Linwood Inn 8, Top Line Appliance 4
Down 3 to 2, Linwood scored 5 runs in the 6th inning to capture the victory. For Linwood, Nickie Mennona went 3 for 3, Steve Lerner and Jack Helfrich added a pair of hits each. Solid pitching by Tommy Siano and team defense limited Top Line to no more than one run per inning.  The Top Liners were led by Don Montefusco, Joe Viso and Lou Collins with 2 hits each. Duck Ball did a great job filling in pitching for Bob Greco.
