Grill 10 |
Angry Joe's/ Tad Pools defeated Rocky's on a cold windy night
which ended with the tying run on base. Angry Joe’s plated 6 runs in the
first inning and held a 6-run lead into the 6th inning until Rocky’s
scored 3 runs in the 6th and 2 runs in the 7th. The rally fell short, leaving the tying run on base after
a hard-fly ball was blasted to the outfield where Angry Joe's outfielder
Kevin Robinson made a great diving catch to seal the victory. At the plate for Angry Joe's, Greg Griffen
and Tim Mulhall each had 3 hits while Tom Korsenski, Steve D'Amato, Keith
Karyczak, Kevin Robinson, and winning pitcher Dave Dudas added 2 hits
each. For the Barmen of Rocky’s, Mike
Valicky led off with a Home Run, while Matt Walsh, Craig Michaud, Dave
Grandmaison, Bob Howlett, Rick Knierim and Steve Monek contributed with two
hits apiece in their first loss of the young season. |
Deegan Roofing
27, AJ Jersey 16 |
Trailing 10 to 6 after two innings, the Deegan bats caught fire
as they put up 21 runs over the next four innings while tightening up their
defense to pull away from AJ Jersey and secure the victory. The Roofers
pounded out 31 total hits and were led by Damon Roth, Charlie Collins, Scott
Mugele, Mike Juchnik and Billy Aumenta who all delivered three hits each. Roc
Sarna and Walt Patrylo each added 3 run home runs for Deegan. |
Douglas VW 12, Terawulf 11 |
Despite a cold and windy April night that chilled the Douglas VW
bats, Carmelo Garcia (HR) and Lou Rivera both had perfect 3 for 3 nights
which carried the offense for a very tight 12-11 win over a tough Terawulf
squad. Adding to the offense were: Al Genova (2B & 3B), Mike
Hoffmann (2 hits) and Frank Padovano (2 hits w/HR). The Douglas VW shut
down defense was led by Frank Padovano, Hector Munoz, Mike Hoffmann and Luke
Nacca. Farlan Alusik picked up his first win of the season on the hill. |
Echo Tap &
Grille 19, Suspenders 18 |
In a game that ended with the winning run at the plate, Echo Tap
& Grille captured their first victory of the season 19-18. The Grille
Masters were led by Chad Eisenberger, Tom Renna, and Eddie Engram who all
went 4 for 4. Joe Sheridan went 4 for
5, and Nelson Ramirez was 3 for 4 on the night. |

Car Revolution 10 |
The offense for Angry Joe’s was led by Greg Griffen, Tommy
Korzenski, and Steve D'Amato each having 5 hits apiece, Matt Kasper and
Joe Kilburg added 4 hits each, while Tim Mulhall, and Keith Karyczak added 3
hits apiece. Kevin Robinson, Anderson Monzon and Tommy Korzenski each had a
Home Run in the win over Car Revolution. |
Rocky’s Bar & Grill 16,
AJ Jersey 6 |
Rocky’s bats came alive on the night sealing their second
victory of the season. Offense was led by Laquan Gray and Greg Solomon each
having a 3 for 3 night, Tom DiGregorio was 3 for 4, Rick Knierim, Gary Roman,
Ellan Ben-Hayon, and Dennis Maluchnik each went 2 for 3, while Craig Michaud
and Larry Pacifico added 2 hits apiece. |
Thirsty Turtle 14 Terawulf
4 |
Led by Chris Kaminski’s great pitching and an 18-hit attack on
offense, Thirsty Turtle defeated Terawulf 14-4 at Tremley Field. Tom Klein
led the offense by going 4 for 4 with a Home Run and 4 RBI’s. Ron Jones
contributed 3 hits with a booming double off the fence and Dave Pringle broke
open the game with a big bases loaded single late in the game to help secure
the win. Juan Moreno and Brian McGovern each had two hits apiece while
providing excellent defense. |
Deegan Roofing
24 Echo Tap & Grill 9 |
The Deegan bats were hot on a chilly night as they continued
their strong start to the season and secured a decisive victory over Echo Tap
& Grill. Charlie Collins and Billy Aumenta led the way with 4 hits and 5
RBI’s apiece, while Scott Mugele launched two towering home runs. John
Deitch pitched a solid game and helped his own cause with 3 hits. Kevin
Woodring, Nelson Santiago and Kevin Spellman also added three hits each for
the Roofers. The Grill Masters suffered their first loss of the year to the
perennial A division contenders, Deegan Roofing. The Tapster’s offensive
sparks were led by Bobby Pells, Joe Sheridan and Tom Renna each having a 2
for 3 night at the plate. |
