Game Summaries:
Deegan Roofing 17, Awnings Galore 11
Awnings Galore jumped out to an early 4-0 lead over Deegan. But despite Tom Pasko's stellar pitching performance, it wasn't enough to hold off the Deegan offense as their bats came alive and they went on to win 17-11.  Anthony Santorelli had 4 hits, while Frank Tripodi and Art Paradise had three hits each to lead the Roofers.  John Rachko got the win and held Awnings at bay.  For Awnings, Paul Newton led the way going 3-3 with a double. Rich Traub and Billy Hillyer contributed 2 hits apiece and Tom Pasko added a double.
Swan Hotel 18, AJ Jersey 16
Swan Hotel had a 6-run sixth inning to jump ahead of AJ Jersey and hold on for a 18-16 Opening Day victory at Warinanco Park. James Nardello launched two massive 3-run homeruns into the night to lead the Swan offense. Brian Latham, John Mazur, Nick Mennona, Scott Mugele, and Joe Difabio each had two hits on the night.  Doug Fischer pitched a strong game for the Swannies and got the win.
Linwood Boys 23, Rocky’s Bar & Grill 8
A solid hitting and fielding combination by all led the Linwood Boys to a 23-8 decision over Rocky’s Bar and Grill. Linwood was led by Chris Kaminski‘s solid pitching.  At the plate for Rocky's, Steve Falco and Farlan Alusik were 2 for 2. 
Kenilworth VFW 16, Yogi's Boys 6
Kenilworth VFW, with a 6-run 3rd inning and a 5-run 5th inning defeated Yogi's Boys 16-6.  Leading the way for the Vets were Bob D'Meo, Bob Glassman, and Tom DeRocco all who were 3 for 4 and scored 3 runs.  New VFW teammate Ralph Genova was 3-3 w/ a sac fly.  Also contributing were Bob Greco, Dave Ball and Jose Santana all with 3 hits apiece. Newly acquired Mark Mandel, also in his first VFW game, added 2 hits.
 Linwood Boys 14, Swan Hotel 13
In a seesaw battle that was decided in the bottom of 7th on a walk-off bloop single by Joe Ciampi, the Linwood Boys used some timely hitting to stop the Swan Motel 14-13 at Linden Memorial Field.  For Swan Hotel, Nick Russo led the offense with a 4 for 4 night at the plate. Brian Latham, Mike Rzewuski, Nick Mennona, and Marty Bernstein added two hits each.
Rocky’s Bar & Grill 9, Angry Joe’s Apparel 4
 Rockies Bar and Grill defeated Angry Joes 9 to 4 in a game that was close right from the first inning. Rocky’s win was earned by solid pitching from Carl Herman, solid defense led by Joe Attanasi in the outfield and Tomas Cruz and Farlan Alusik at short stop and up the middle.  At the plate Joe Attanasi, Farlan Alusik  and Angelo Puerari had 2 hits each. Clutch hits which led to 5 of Rockies 9 runs were provided by John Llano, Dennis Maluchnik, Rich Conklin and Gary Epstein.
Deegan Roofing 19, Kenilworth VFW 15
Deegan Roofing won 19-15 over Kenilworth VFW in a back and forth contest at Warinanco Park . The Roofers were led by Art Paradise with 4 hits and 3 hits from Tom Donnelly, Don Miller and Anthony Santorelli. Rob Stratton and Anthony Santorelli also contributed HRs for the Roofers. For the Vets Greg Thomas had 3 hits and Bob D'Meo, Tom DeRocco and Glenn Sytko added 2 hits apiece.
AJ Jersey 17, Awnings Galore 6
AJ Jersey jumped out to a 12-0 lead after 3 innings and never looked back.  Awnings did close the gap with 6 runs in their 4th inning but it was not enough.  For the Shadesters, Jerry Isolda led the way going 3 for 3. Other contributors were Paul Newton and Rick Demsey with 2 hits each. Tom Straniero clobbered a bases loaded triple to blow open the Awnings 6-run 4th inning.
