	Games for Week Ending July 26. 2026
	Swan Hotel 18, - AJ. Jersey 15
	Swan Hotel opened the 2026 playoffs with an exciting 18-15 victory over A.J. Jersey in a hard-fought Game 1 of this best of three semifinal series. The Swannies broke the game open with several key runs in the bottom of the sixth inning, extending their lead just enough to hold off a late charge.   Mike Rzewuski had a perfect day at the plate, going 4-for-4, while Marty Marks and Tom Baldowski each finished 3-for-3. Doug Fischer added two hits and turned in a strong performance on the mound. Tom Ulichny, John Mazur, and Kevin Spellman each drove in multiple runs to help power the Swan Hotel offense.  A.J. Jersey battled throughout the game and kept the pressure on until the final out. Vance Barfield led the offense with three doubles and two RBIs. Ted Campanello went a perfect 4-for-4 with two RBIs, while Steve Hobson finished 3-for-3 with two RBIs. Mike Rosenberg (2-for-3, two RBIs) and Drew Koski (2-for-3) also contributed to the offensive effort.  With the win, Swan Hotel takes a 1-0 lead in the playoff series.
	Deegan Roofing 20, - Awnings Galore 14
	Deegan Roofers came away with a 20-14 victory over the Shadesters in a back-and-forth Game 1 of this best of three semifinal A's 60's playoffs.  Locked in a 14-14 tie heading into the bottom of the sixth inning, the Roofers erupted for six runs to pull away and secure the win.  Deegan's offense was fueled by Rob Stratton, Bruce Evans, and Ralph Genova, who each collected three hits. John Ratchko, Don Miller, Walt Korzeb, Pat Nigro, Brian Dayton, and Willie Jackson all added two hits apiece. Bill Buteau also had a two-hit game, including a home run.  The Shadesters put together a strong offensive performance of their own. Pitcher Paul Newton was a home run shy of the cycle, collecting a single, double, and triple. John Tomasulo added two doubles, while Bruce Crawford and Emil Cocca each contributed a double.  With the victory, Deegan Roofers take a 1-0 lead in the playoff series.
	Damage Inc 25,  DeBellis 5
	On a breezy, sunlit evening at Rahway River Park, Damage Inc. unleashed an offensive explosion, piling up 33 hits and 25 runs in an impressive victory in this best of three B Playoff Quarterfinal series. Leading the charge were several perfect performances at the plate. Richie Merrette went 4-for-4 with two home runs, while Fred Marchev finished 3-for-3 with a home run and an intentional walk. Billy Early was a perfect 4-for-4, Ed Quinn went 3-for-3, and winning pitcher Armando Calderone helped his own cause by going 3-for-3. Ken Zeidner, the table-setting leadoff hitter, collected three hits, while Scott Graham added three hits, including a double and a triple. Lloyd Haymes also recorded three hits, and Marty Joyce chipped in with two hits as Damage Inc.'s lineup produced hit after hit from top to bottom.
	Kenilworth VFW 16 Yogis Boys 13
	Kenilworth VFW opened its best-of-three B playoff quarterfinal series with a hard-fought 16-13 victory over Yogi's Boys.  The Vets jumped out to an early lead before Yogi's Boys battled back to take a 6-5 advantage heading into the fourth inning. Kenilworth answered in a big way, erupting for six runs in the bottom of the fourth to regain control of the game.  Yogi's Boys refused to go away, mounting a furious rally in the seventh inning, but the comeback fell just short as Kenilworth held on to claim Game 1.  Leading the Vets' offense were Chris Paternostro, Greg Hartnett, Tom De Rocco, and Jose Santana, who each collected three hits in the victory.  With the win, Kenilworth VFW takes a 1-0 lead in the best-of-three series and moves one step closer to advancing.
	Awnings Galore 11, Deegan Roofing 8
	Another tightly contested battle unfolded between the Deegan Roofers and Awnings Galore as the two teams battled for a spot in the A Division Finals. The game was deadlocked at 3-3 after three innings before the Shadesters broke through with a five-run fourth inning to seize the lead for good. Deegan mounted a comeback attempt, but the Shadesters' defense came up with the key plays down the stretch to preserve an 11-8 victory.  Awnings Galore was led offensively by pitcher Paul Newton and Tom Renna, who each turned in perfect 3-for-3 performances. John Tomasulo added a towering home run, while Billy Hillyer, Danny Mendoza, and Jerry Isolda each contributed two hits.  The Roofers kept the pressure on throughout the game. Lou Balestriere, Pat Nigro, and Bill Buteau each collected three hits, but Deegan was unable to overcome the Shadesters' decisive fourth inning.
	Swan Hotel 30 - AJ Jersey 18
	Swan Hotel punched its ticket to the A Division Championship with a 30-18 victory over A.J. Jersey, but not before surviving an incredible late-game rally.  The Swannies appeared to be in complete control, carrying a commanding 21-7 lead into the bottom of the sixth inning. With two outs and facing elimination, A.J. Jersey mounted a remarkable comeback, stringing together 10 consecutive hits and scoring 11 runs to cut the deficit to 21-18 and put the pressure squarely on Swan. Swan answered like a championship contender in the top of the seventh, pounding out 10 hits and scoring nine insurance runs to put the game away and clinch the series. Tom Ulichny and John Garced led the Swan offense, each going a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBIs. John Segledi enjoyed a huge night, collecting three hits, including a towering home run, while driving in five runs. Brian Latham, Steve Barba, and Nick Mennona also contributed three hits apiece in the offensive outburst. A.J. Jersey refused to go quietly. Chuck Serafin led the charge with a perfect 3-for-3 performance. Steve Bertone, Vance Barfield (double), Frank Bracht, Steve Barden (double), and Mike Rosenberg (triple) each added two hits during the furious comeback attempt.  Although A.J. Jersey's sixth-inning rally made for a dramatic finish, Swan Hotel's explosive response in the seventh sealed the victory and sent the Swannies on to the A Division Championship.
	Games for Week Ending August 17, 2026
	Linwood Boys 23 Kenilworth VFW 15
	The steady hitting and solid defense of the Linwood Boys held off a determined comeback by the VFW squad to secure a 23-15 victory in Game 2 of the 60s B semifinals.  Linwood was led by Eddie Rodriguez and Mike Hoffman, who collected four hits apiece. Joe Ciampi, Carl Gamba, Mike DiRienzo, Anthony Joe, and Chris Kaminski chipped in with three hits each to keep the Linwood offense rolling throughout the game.  Defensively, Geno Antonucci came up with another circus catch in left field, making a spectacular grab to kill a VFW rally and help preserve the Linwood lead.  With the timely hitting and big defensive plays, the Linwood Boys held off the VFW comeback attempt and moved on to the Finals.
	Damage Inc 15  Rocky’s Bar & Grill 14
	With their backs against the wall and their season on the line, Damage Inc. dug deep all night and delivered when it mattered most, scoring four runs in the bottom of the 8th inning to stun Rocky’s Bar & Grill, 15-14, and force a decisive Game 3 in the UCSSL 60’s “B” semifinals.  Rocky’s jumped out to a 9-5 lead after three innings, but Damage Inc. refused to go away, outscoring Rocky’s 6-2 over the next three innings to tie the game at 11-11 after six. After a scoreless seventh, Rocky’s struck for three runs in the top of the 8th, taking a 14-11 lead and moving to within three outs of sweeping the series.  But Damage Inc. saved its most dramatic damage for last.   In the bottom of the 8th, Damage rallied for four runs, capped by Marty Joyce, who was a perfect 4-for-4 on the night, with a single and walk-off RBI to bring home Fred Marchev and complete the stunning comeback. The victory kept Damage’s season alive and sent the series to a winner-take-all Game 3.   Damage had heroes throughout the lineup. Leadoff extraordinaire Ken Zeidner went 2-for-4 with a walk, Scott Graham was 2-for-4 with two doubles, Richie Merrette and Fred Marchev each went 3-for-4, and RBI man Lloyd Haymes added a 2-for-4 performance. Dave Rothenberg went 1-for-3 and drew an intentional walk in the decisive 8th inning, while Bill Early and Ed Quinn each went 2-for-3.  For Rocky’s, Chris “Smitty” Schmidt had a terrific night, going 3-for-3 with a sacrifice, triple, three runs, and three RBIs. Carl “Wildcat” Herman added a 3-for-4 performance, while Dante Brando and Angelo Puerari chipped in with two hits apiece.
	Rocky’s Bar & Grill 23  Damage Inc 9
	After suffering a heartbreaking extra-inning loss in Game 2 that gave Damage Inc. all the momentum heading into the rubber match, Rocky’s Bar & Grill came out swinging in Game 3—and never looked back!  Rocky’s jumped all over Damage in the opening two innings, plating eight runs early, and the offensive onslaught continued throughout the night. Rocky’s exploded for 31 hits and 23 runs, scoring in all six of their at-bats, including three separate six-run innings, to cruise to a 23-9 victory and capture the best-of-three semifinal series.  Rocky’s offensive attack was led by Joe Attanasi, who was a perfect 4-for-4 with a triple, three runs, and two RBIs. Dennis Muluchnik was also perfect at 3-for-3, adding two walks, a triple, three runs, and five RBIs. Angelo Puerari was 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBIs, Kevin Taylor added a 3-for-4 performance with a triple, double, and three runs, while Steve Falco and Frank Verducci each added a 3-for-4 night. Falco scored twice, while Verducci added two runs and two RBIs.   And it wasn't just the top of the lineup doing the damage—the rest of the Rocky’s lineup chipped in with two hits apiece in the clinching Game 3, producing a relentless offensive attack from top to bottom.  For Damage Inc., Marty Joyce continued his torrid hitting with another perfect night, going 3-for-3. Bill Early was 2-for-2 with a sacrifice fly, while Lloyd Haymes, Dave Rothenberg, and Anardo Calderon each added two hits.  Damage Inc. fought all the way to the end and can take plenty of pride in a season that saw the team record its most wins since 2022. After forcing the decisive Game 3 with an incredible comeback in Game 2, Damage’s season comes to an end one step short of the championship series.  With the win, Rocky’s Bar & Grill punches its ticket to the UCSSL 60’s “B” Championship, where they will face Linwood Tap & Grille for the title.
