| Comments: | Here we go again !!! It is a beautiful Saturday (Aug 20), blue skies, perfect temperature to play softball. However, today's games were cancelled because of FRIDAY night rain !!! It drives me up the wall !!! At next years meeting, a rule should be adapted that if we get washed out on Saturday, the games will be played on Sunday instead. In that case, we won't be playing into October.... |

| Comments: | It is the weekend of July 9th and 10th,2011. We were scheduled to play in the State tournament in Linden, NJ (50+). We couldn't have HOPED for better weather, sunny blue skies, low humidity...Perfect softball weather. Totally psyched up and looking forward to playing in this tournament. But because it rained Friday night, THE WHOLE TOURNAMENT WAS CANCELLED !!! Are you kidding me ???? I truly believe that someone jumped the gun with that decision. YES it rained the night before. YES the field was probably alittle wet. But if we can put a robot on Mars, this tournament could've taken place with the help of a few shovels, some dry dirt, sand, or whatever they use to absorb water on an infield...Not to mention that the warm sun would do its job naturally. And so a whole PERFECT weekend went by with no games played. Ridiculous !!! The powers-that-be in this organization are too quick to cancel games after it rains on a Friday night, and that goes for our Saturday (Middlesex) teams as well. |

| Comments: | Contacted Bob Hoffman and Tom Jackson via E-Mail several weeks ago. Was told by Tom to show up for practice approximately 3 weeks ago and speak with Herbie. Practiced with team and was informed that I was being rated, A, B, or C player. There seems to be too many players, but other teams may be formed or I would be a fill in. Have not heard from anyone. In good faith I made my contacts and expressed interest at least two months ago. At that time Web site said "teams being formed. Just want to know where I stand. If I can't play this season, I'll try again next year. |

| Comments: | Checking the site, there's no info on when the leagues are being formed, including practices. This will be my first time registering. I E-Mailed Bob Hoffman on the contact list, wrote me that teams are already formed, so I'm a little confused. Was informed other managers and contacts will be notified to see if there are openings. Also wrote to tell me to come to Veterans field in Oldbridge on April 14th to meet with other league members. I'm excited about getting back into softball, even though it's been a while since I last participated. Bob also mentioned that there's a $50.00 registration fee. Not sure who I send that to. | Comments: | I was looking through my Dad’s mail and came across your Extra Innings Newsletter… Just wanted to do a quick outreach…My father (John McCarthy – Creative Industries) loved playing ball and truly enjoyed each and every moment out on the field. He looked forward to each season just as though he was a young kid ready for Opening Day. I just wanted to thank you for bringing his enjoyment and love of the game to a reality in his senior years. My husband and I traveled to some of his games over the years and he seemed so happy and almost beaming when it was time to play or coach. I just wanted to say thanks for providing the opportunity for him to enjoy playing ball and meeting some wonderful, wonderful teammates.
